FOUNDER:
Sifu Cathal Walsh
Sifu Cathal Walsh is an
accomplished martial arts instructor, having achieved a 5th
degree Black Belt (Master) in the art of Shaolin Kempo
Kung-Fu. He has over ten years of experience operating one
of Canada 's most successful family martial arts schools.
His leadership has been further developed through fourteen
years experience working as a teacher and principal in
elementary and middle schools in British Columbia, also
serving as a Provincial Standards Coordinator for the BC
Ministry of Education.
His passion for martial arts and
education put Sifu Cathal on a ten year quest to refine and
develop the "best way possible" to operate a
successful martial arts school that would provide children and
families access to the wide range of benefits that the
martial arts has to offer, while maintaining the integrity of
the martial arts through high standards for student
discipline, knowledge, and skills. Over the years Sifu
Cathal has coached other martial arts school owners on how
to duplicate his successes. He currently provides leadership and support
to two other successful SHAKU Family Martial Arts school owners on
Vancouver Island as well as two schools in Kingston,
Ontario.
A cornerstone of
Sifu Cathal's philosophy has been has been the recognition
that schools require proven systems and structure in order
to be successful. He has spent over ten years developing,
refining and validating the SHAKU™ school model.

Bob Holland
Sifu
Bob Holland has over 25 years experience in the martial
arts. As an active SHAKU school owner, Sifu Bob lends his
martial art expertise to future strategic decisions for
SHAKU in the areas of instruction, curriculum and
philosophy. Sifu Bob's involvement at the advisory level is
consistent with the value we place in the ideas and efforts
of our SHAKU school operators. Click

Sensei Jeff Hall
A leader in Canadian Martial Arts since
the 1980s, Sensei Jeff Hall coordinates SHAKU's growth
efforts in Ontario. An outstanding martial artist and
competitor, Sensei Hall has been a multi-school operator and
business owner for many years.
Jon Malach
As Vice-President of ChampionsWay Inc.,
Mr. Malach has been a major influence in efectively
systemizing the operations of martial arts schools i North
America and around the world. The industry leader in
software support for martial arts schools, ChampionsWay's
innovations continue to improve the level of structure and
operations within our SHAKU schools.
