SHAKU Children's Martial arts Programs 

Little Ninjas (ages 4 - 5)

Little Ninjas  is an especially designed martial arts program for children aged 4 to 5 years of age.  This approved course from The National Association of Professional Martial Artists (NAPMA) focuses on monthly success skills that represent the inner strengths (confidence, respect, discipline) and the outer strengths (fitness, flexibility, strength) of the martial arts.  The classes are high energy, engaging, educational and a lot of fun for the young participants. Registration in this program is limited to ensure maximum benefit for each participating student.

Juniors (ages 6 - 11)

Children 6 years and older enroll in SHAKU's Junior Program.  This is a dynamic and educational martial arts course that offers both a short term introductory module as well as a comprehensive Junior Black Belt Training Program. The Junior classes focus on critical areas of child development including self-discipline, respectful behaviour, focus and attention to task and confidence building.  The dynamic and engaging curriculum ensures classes are exciting, challenging and fun. The course is supported by our unique "Attitudes For Success" character education lessons for children which culminates in our Junior Leadership curriculum entitled the SHAKU Real Life Superhero Program. 

Junior Leadership (ages 7 - 11)

Junior students aged 7 - 11 have the opportunity to participate in a junior leadership course by being part of SHAKU's Real Life Superhero Program.  This unique character and confidence building program challenges students to complete "missions" in the areas of discipline, respect, perseverance, confidence and Health and fitness on their quest to become real life superheroes. In addition, the leadership course offers enriched martial arts training. This program requires some parental participation as it includes at at home mission guide book to complete.
